Nora Longatti (she/her) works as an independent filmmaker and visual artist. For her moving image projects, she collaborates mostly with non-professionally trained performers within the context of their specific social architectures.
She studied Fine Arts and Photography at UMPRUM in Prague and ZHdK Zürich, and filmmaking at ÉCAL in Lausanne. Her short fiction, Chute, won the Pardino d'Oro at the Locarno FF in 2021, among other awards, and has been shown at festivals internationally. Her short fiction, Bloc B, won the prize for best school film at the International Short FF Winterthur in 2019 and was shown at the Kyiv IFF Molodist and the Kaohsiung FF in Taiwan, among others. Code of Conduct, realized in collaboration with Olivia Frey, received the Special Jury Mention at the Kurzfilmtage Winterthur in 2020.
She is currently living and working in Zurich and developing her first feature film, versorgen (WT), together with Seeland Filmproduktion GmbH.
