Material: gun cotton | water | steel | A security guard
There is an iron stand where a bath towel is hung. The towel was drenched in water before the opening. Its dripping may be perceived as a countdown. A guard circulates from time to time, creating, as he walks, the pattern of a lemniscate. The towel will dry throughout the exhibition. Upon drying, it becomes explosive. The guard was given instructions, which made him able to explain the chemical process used for the fabrication of gun cotton.
«becoming explosive» was my Bachelor's final project, Bachelor of Visual Art/Photography at ZHdK Zürich.
